My Top 5 Most Read Authors

I’ve been (trying) to organize my books in Goodreads by adding “bookshelf” for example; I created a “Shadowhunter Books” shelf so I could put in 1 folder all the books I read about Shadowhunters. I also added a “John Green books” shelf obvi for all of John Green books. And then I realized I’ve read a lot of Cassandra Clare’s books. Last year, I don’t know much anything about her, but as of today, she’s my most-read author!

Then I counted all the books I read since Twilight and group them by Authors until I come up with my Top 5 Most Read Authors.

(I included short stories/e-novellas in my count and counted them as 1 per short story/e-novella.)

#5. John Green and Stephenie Meyer (6 books)

John and Stephenie are 2 of my favorite authors and I’m glad they are on this list.

Tfios, Twilight saga and The Host are included in my most favorite books of all time. =) Which is another story. =)

There’s a next book in The Lorien Legacies (and hopefully the last one) will come out on August, the title is The Revenge of Seven and I’ll read it for sure.

Kinsella’s books are like Rom Com movies. TBH before YA, my go-to genre was Chic Lit, back when it was still a genre. LOLZ.

I like Sophie’s books but I got to a point where I grew tired of all the lies of her characters. It’s always the same, the narrator always have the same issue with telling the truth that often lead to misunderstandings and chaos and then we have a story to tell. I haven’t read Wedding Night, her latest book.

But I probably read Shopaholic to the Stars which will come out on October, the 7^th book in the Shopaholic series.

When I was in college I really really like to start reading books aside from school books but I don’t have the money to buy books. And I don’t know about libraries, for all I know they just store school books.

So I made a list of all the books I want to read then. (I lost the list, too bad.) Princess Diaries series was included in the list.

I haven’t read book 7 & 9, I’m not sure if I’m going to read it in the near future. I really really like this series. I enjoyed Mia’s journey  and I had a mourning period after I read the last book. So I’m thrilled when I learned that Meg Cabot will be writing a sequel (kind of) to the Princess Diaries series, I’m not sure if it’s just one book. But it will be like after so years since Princess Diaries, she called it Adult version of Princess Diaries. I don’t know what that means but I’m super excited. =D

And last but obvi not the least because she has the most number of books I read.

If you ask me in the early part of 2013 how many Cassandra Clare books I read out of 7 published (CP2 not included), I’d say none.

After a year (this year), ask me again, I’d answer, 17 and I’m currently reading and finishing The Bane Chronicles which consist of 10 short stories/e-novellas.

I included only the published ones, and I counted each short story in The Bane Chronicles because each story was a story of its own and released separately although a printed compiled copy will be released in the last quarter of 2014 if I remember it correctly. Of course aside from these, I also read almost all (if not all) the “Extras and Excerpts” from her website www.cassandraclare.com and her Tumblr posts where she answers to fans which is awesome and nice of her.

There are 3 new series about Shadowhunters that will come out in the coming years. And I realized how old I’m gonna be when the last book of TWP will be released. And it got me thinking, will I still read a Cassandra Clare book when I’m 35? Most probably yes, I’ll still read Cassandra Clare’s books. =D

Oh. There’s a Simon Lewis chronicles that will be out sometime, like TBC kind of thing.
