The very beautiful official movie poster of TFIOS (photo cred: schmoesknow.com) |
I usually discuss movies if they were based from a book I’ve read and cared and loved. I want to dissect each scene that they included and scenes that they don’t. I want to rant when they change a specific scene from the book. But as I’ve said, only to book that I’ve read AND cared AND loved.
I watched tfios alone because I want to be alone with my feels. I want to focus and not entertain a company. I don’t want to talk about it during the movie and I don’t want to talk about it after the movie because tfios is one of my favorite books that I want to be alone when I face it.
So that happened.
And the whole cinema cried. I watched on the first day it was released because I won’t be able to contain the excitement. A lot of people laugh at funny things and cried so much like maybe halway through the movie. Some even clapped during end credits.
The movie left me speechless so much so I can’t form coherent thoughts so I could write down notes about it. I can’t even write my own feels. I know then I’m not ready to discuss it that time. But then maybe I have a lot on my plate that time what’s with Taylor Swift concert and school.
Right now I’m not sure what I want to write about tfios. I just know I have to write something about it.
I. Enjoyed. Every. Moment. Of. The. Fault. In. Our. Stars. Movie.
It’s pure genious. It’s very honest to the book. The casting was fantabulous. The actors did a great job. The director and screenwriter also did a very great job. The soundtrack is amazing.
I think that’s what everybody is or was saying because it’s the truth. The fans pretty much say all there is to say about tfios.
So allow me to just ramble random things about tfios. :)
I cried a great deal during the movie than when I’m reading the book. Tears were literally
streaming and it came to a point that I didn’t bother to wipe it dry not after I’ve calmed down.
I really believed the actors were that great. They portrayed these beloved characters with so much heart. And I just can’t.
The movie was 90-95% true to the book. And on my scale, (and everyone else’s) it’s pretty high.
This is a very nice review of TFIOS. It’s from a perspective of a movie-goer who haven’t read the book. It’s spoiler-free review, too.
People who haven’t read the book will probably just say: it’s an okay movie or I didn’t find anything worth crying or whatever. It wasn’t a requirement to cry during the movie.
To be honest I can’t say anything much. It was a fantastic movie that for me, kinda set a standard to all things book-to-movie adaptation in the future. But of course there’s a couple or more movie adaptations that was great before this. Tfios may be just solidified it for me.
When a movie adaptation is great, as a reader, it makes me proud to be a reader. It makes me proud that I’ve read that book. It makes me proud that that book I read was adapted very well.
Thanks for reading this!
